Veganism Around the World
In this talk, Alexander Huntley of The Vegan Society will present the findings from a recent research project on the current state of veganism around the world.
The research was published in January 2026 and maps the current global landscape of veganism to inform individuals, advocates, policymakers, and industry professionals alike about the growth of veganism and opportunity areas for progressing vegan solutions. The study collected information from a range of existing international data on vegan populations, consumption patterns, imports and exports of foods, vegan restaurants, alt-protein companies and Google trends. The study includes new, original data to gather novel insights into the prevalence and perception of veganism.
This talk will cover the main findings of this research study, focusing primarily on the opportunities for veganism advocacy and business.
