TALKS & WORKSHOPS

FUNCTION ROOM 1

12:00pm: How to create a peaceful Vegan Christmas in a non-vegan family

The Holiday Season should be a time of peace, joy and healing for all. Yet for many vegans it comes with a sense of anxiety caused by a heightened exposure to the animal eating culture of Christmas.

How do we cope as vegans if our family and friends don’t subscribe to this way of life. How can we inspire our non-vegan community to embrace us the way we are and create an openness to explore veganism as a path to peace.
In this talk Gabriela will share with you how to deal with ‘stubborn’ friends & family. She will make suggestions on how you can bridge the chasm between your worldview and theirs, and how you can contribute in your own way to spread joy and peace, whilst staying calm and peaceful within yourself.

This talk will be audience interactive, as well as give practical tools on how you can not only ‘survive’ the Holiday Season in a non-vegan environment, but how you can actually thrive and inspire others.
