12pm: Cosy Yoga

This candlelit class is all yours, to feel pampered and shake out that tension and stress. Louise will lead you through a short series of restorative poses to gently loosen up your body. You’ll explore your range of movement using somatic techniques, which encourages any muscular tightness to release. Tightness, injuries and ample body shapes are all welcome, as modifications are offered to make sure your body is supported and comfortable the whole time.

A guided meditation finishes the second half of the class – this is just like the best nap you ever had, where you can take the opportunity to really get cosy! You will reconnect with your body and calm that busy mind

2pm: How to thrive on a Plant Based Diet

The idea of not eating meat is nothing new – Pythagoras was an early advocate of a plant-based diet – but so many of us were brought up to believe that the maintenance of health and fitness can only be achieved on a diet based around animal protein. Many omnivores believe that it is impossible to remain healthy on a diet of only plants! We now have incontrovertible evidence that this is entirely incorrect – indeed it is becoming clear that the healthiest of diets is a Whole Food Plant Based Diet. This means a diet based 100% on plants – and they should be consumedin a form that is as close as possible to how they were grown and harvested. It should include little, if any processed or refined products – for example, no added sugar or oil. In this talk, I will outline some of the evidence for this.
